Quality Control 

Today I was allowed by my supervisor, Pooi Yoke to follow the stock keepers and checked out the new stocks that just reached. They were bird nest’s bottle drinks from the manufacturing company, Sky Food. Basically, our firm provided edible bird’s nest (EBN) to them and they helped us to bottle and package the bird’s nest by adding in flavor for the drinks in the bottle form. The types of products that came are stated at the picture below :

Once the stocks came, stock keepers would check the products and ensured they were in the best condition. They would definitely reject those products which contained furs or black dots inside the drinks. Mr Tan and Ismail were the stock keepers and they explained to me one by one the products and the checking process. Undeniably, EBN products are premium goods that must be in the best condition when serve to customers in order to maintain the company’s reputation in this industry. 
 

Work Culture and People & Team Skills

I had worked pretty well together with Mr Tan and Ismail and we had done checking entire stocks that just arrived. I would do double confirm before I selected out those unqualified products by seeking for their attention and opinion. Immediately, Mr Tan recorded down the numbers of qualified products and to be updated in the system and stock card later. It is important to keep track on the amount of products and goods that our company is having.

Conclusion

In the nut shell, quality management for goods is important as it is having directly impact to the customers who purchase the products. I learned accounting for inventory that was able to keep track of stocks in the inventory systems. It allowed me to know the availability of stocks and the timing to replenish the stocks when they are running low. The inventory management accounting system and quality management that I learned in today enabled me to work in big companies in the future that based on stocks and definitely I will put more attention on the products to ensure company's reputation.
