My roles in Sunshine Region was more interesting
compared to others I guessed as Tim, the company managing director allowed me to
try out all the positions’ tasks which could definitely maximize my internship career.
Accountants and Finance Planner
However, my roles and responsibilities were mainly focused on accountant and finance planner by assisting Pooi Yoke, my supervisor to handle all the accounting and finance related to the products and exports. Doing costing, production memo, accounting schedule, closing account for month end, data key in for production, calculating the workers’ salaries, issuing invoice and stock taking were my main tasks for my position. I needed to make sure the transactions were all in the right track and double checking the accounts to ensure all of the transactions are keyed in right. Besides, every month, I would need to go to their outlets and consignment stores to carry out stock counts and report about the sales. Factory that located in Sungai Buloh was the other place that I went very often to perform stock counts and get the production volume and memo regarding the processing of raw clean edible bird’s nest.

Minor on Graphic Design and Human Resources
Due to the resignation of Kyxin, designer of
Sunshine Region, I would need to assist them in editing posters for promotion and
events. My roles covered human resources like calculating the foreign workers’
salaries and dealing with procedure in hiring foreign workers. These were all
extraordinary extra experiences for my internship’s roles and
responsibilities.
