Issuing Cheque by using Accounting Software
From what I knew in the past, issuing cheque was by writing but I had changed my mind when I started my internship in Sun Shine Region Sdn Bhd. It was because I accessed into the Quickbook accounting system to check out the creditors we had and the due date for the payment. Hence, I would need to issue cheque by using a special small printing machine that was only specialized in printing cheque.
Quickbook was definitely a new software accounting system for me. It could be used as a
tool to record all company’s transaction and for corporate reporting. The
objective for me in this few days was getting familiar with the software and
got exactly the ways to issue the cheque with the guided of my supervisor, Pooi
Yoke.
Basically,
my supervisor had introduced the features of the software for me. The next step
I would need to explore myself. After a lot of times of printing on the draft
papers, I would like to print the cheque to one of the supplies. I could
clearly remember what my supervisor told me it was not allowed to print wrong
for the cheque. It was because the cheque was with the number sequences and types of
banks that are followed by the sequence. If I printed wrongly, I would create a
lot of troublesome for the accountants who were doing corporate reporting for
the company.
In
fact, it was too stressed for me. However, with the guidance of Pooi Yoke, I
gained the confidence and succeeded to issue the 1st cheque.
Quickbook accounting system was just too awesome and convenience for the users,
because it automatically cancelled the record of owing to the suppliers after the
cheque was issued. The cheque’s number, type of banks and the date was
automatically updated by the system. Furthermore, the cheque was in the printed
version which looked professional and free of errors with the double checking
system of the software.
Conclusion
In
this short period of time, I had learned the ways to issue the cheque by using
accounting software and mastered the Quickbook. From my experiences in dealing
with the accounting software, the accounting software system that adopted by
the company was extremely meaningful and as a control for the finance of the
company in the long term. I had mastered the Quickbook accounting software
system that would definitely beneficial for my future career goal when I
graduate.
Moreover,
the accounting system could enhance my knowledge and skills on software in
transaction recording. Hence, I would able to do comparison among the
accounting software. By using the best methods and features from each
accounting software, it will able to boost my performance in my future career.
With the accumulated experiences, I will have the opportunity to be the consultant for the
company that designing accounting software. Therefore, the brilliant ways that
suggested by me might be able to improve the software and enhance the
performance of all accountants.
